Naval Group is a French Public Limited Company, whose capital is held by the French State (62.25%), the company Thales (35%), the company Naval Group Actionnariat (owned by Naval group)(0.99%), and former and current employees (indirectly 1.74% and directly 0.02%).[i] Naval Group is a prime contractor for the French Navy and is currently developing a third-generation nuclear armed submarine for France.[ii] The programme is planning to replace the four Le Triomphant nuclear armed submarines, with delivery starting in 2035.[iii] Naval group is also the prime contractor for the M51 missile integration for the French nuclear armed submarines.[iv]
