Banda Group International is a technical and project management support company serving government and private sector clients.[i] Banda Group holds an $18.7 million contract for nuclear explosive safety by the US Department of Energy.[ii] The contract description indicates that it includes efforts to maintain and enhance the safety, security, and reliability of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.[iii] Banda Group’s responsibilities have not been assessed to provide key components to facilitate nuclear weapon use, but rather to provide trainings and safety controls to ensure that nuclear weapons are not accidentally detonated.[iv]
