Battelle takes part in the management of several U.S. facilities involved in nuclear weapon modernisation and new warhead production: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Savannah River National Laboratory.[i] Battelle has worked on numerous contracts, but is established as a non-profit organisation and not externally or privately financed.[ii]
